5th Grade - A Summary

Jay probably had his best academic year ever in 5th grade. We are truly so proud of him. In addition to that he ranked up from a cub scout to a boy scout and did the arrow of light ceremony. He also played flag football which he absolutely loved. At the end of the year he was recognized with an academic achievement award. Ms. Boodanian was an amazing teacher and we will never forget her. So much better than 4th grade!!!

My son loves roller coasters he loves to watch videos on youtube of roller coasters and amusement parks. He also loves playing roblox and minecraft. And of course Madden football. Jay loves going to the pool and spending time with the kids in the neighborhood. I am very grateful he has friends locally he can play with. He did more sleepovers this year and is definitely becoming more independent.

His favorite stuffed animals are Wally (who we got in Kauai), Marlin (who he got with Brendan at the local ocean research center), Zombie (who was given to him by his buddy Grady) Gatie (An alligator he got in Florida when Brendan and I got married) Washington (a Husky we got in Seattle on the way to Alaska) and Hugh Buffet (a manatee we got in Florida this last summer)

There are a lot of challenges raising kids these days. If I can just raise this one to be compassionate, kind, and loving I will truly feel like I have succeeded as a parent. Everything else will come.
