Our biggest struggle would probably be the weight gain and feeding. This is something I could probably spend hours writing about. God knows I bore the few people who still listen to me. But it is frustrating. Jay is definitely underweight and eating time stresses me out!
Developmentally I'm so proud of him. He has reached so many milestones and continues to surprise me daily. Last weekend Jay touched grass for the first time (yes I am extremely over protective but if you heard what they have to say in the NICU you would be too.) He loved it! He played in it, pulled it, tried to eat it, and crawled and walked in it. He aslo touched sand and Daddy put him on the curvy slide which he loved!!
And a few days ago I was upstairs putting some clothes away. Joe was downstairs on the computer and Jay was playing. I came downstairs only to hear something splashing about in the bathroom. My childs hands were in the toilet!!! The toilet paper roll was all over the floor it was truly a mess! I wasn't laughing at the time but I am laughing now. Needless to say we keep that door shut all the time now.

Good job Jay!!!
I'm so glad for you guys, Ana. And the pictures are absolutely beautiful.
yeah Jay!
that's awesome ana. sounds like this has been a really magical summer for your sweet family. Kudos to you for all the hard work and dedication you've done, and not giving up. I love your philosophy of celebrating everything/savoring the victories...something all parents should adopt...i know (at least for me) it's too easy to get bogged down by details, the negative, etc. Kudos. :D Hang in there with the eating- that's a challenge over here too, even though hannah was full term. Meals and kids are a formidable opponent! lol I bet though that as Jay grows, you'll find some of his growth spurts will come from weight rather than height....and then it will flip flop the next time, etc. Does he have any favorite foods? :) way to go momma! thanks for the updates and pictures- he's such a lovely blessing! ((((hugs))))
Yay Jay (and Ana!). He will exceed those goals just you wait!
This is great news Ana! Yeah for Jay!
That's wonderful.
That's great news Ana. I'm happy for all of you
Praise God! ;-)
I am so happy for all of you... what is life without obstacles to overcome?
Those are some beautiful pictures!

I overcame my low birth weight. :indiff: Careful what you wish for!
Time to buy toilet locks!!! How funny it must have been to see him in the bathroom like that! Treasure and celebrate it as a special moment, too Ana (although you should show him it's not okay).....be glad that Jay is like every other toddler and CAN stick his hands in the toilet! He looks big and healthy....don't sweat every meal! =)
PS Great pics Ana. He is gorgeous. Josh is still underweight too. if you ever need to chat about it, you know we are here for you!
